The market on Wednesday was steady to $2 higher on weaned calves, with heifers showing the biggest improvement. The non-weaned calf market depended largely upon preconditioning shots, with most of these calves having only spring shots.The slaughter market is under considerable pressure and most of the cows were very low yielding.
