We sold 3450 head of cattle by 4:45 in the afternoon to a large crowd of buyers. The market was $3-5 higher, especially on the heifers. The slaughter cattle marker was $1-2 lower.ATTENTION CATTLEMEN: On Thursday, January 13 at 1:00 PM, the NCFB program, Nebraska Cattlemen and Sandhills Cattle Assoc. will present a demonstration for the Beef Quality Assurance program. A before and after demonstration of wrong injection sites and the consequences on carcass quality will be presented. This is an excellent opportunity to become BQA certified which is a requirement to enroll your cattle in the Nebraska Corn Fed Beef program. Make sure and attend this demonstration of good management practices.
BRED COWS AND HEIFERS: Next week’s bred cow offering will feature the finest lineup of bred heifers and young cows ever offered here at Bassett Livestock. Most of the heifers are pelvic measured, alot of them synchronized and AI’d to top Angus sires such as Bando 598 and SAF Focus.
