We sold over 11,000 head on our annual two-day special here at BLA, with overflowing crowds both days. The market was up and down for both days. The fancy, weaned calves on Wed. were $2-3 higher than I had expected and the bawling, fleshy calves maybe a little lower than I had hoped. The yearling market on Thurs. was about the same story as the home raised yearlings with light condition sold extremely well but that certainly changed when you dropped a notch in quality or added flesh.
